Crazy Animal Lady

I took some photos at the petting zoo in town while I was on my lunch hour today.  I don't know about you, but I am in love with animals of all kinds.
They just make me happy.  I love goats with their weird looking eyes.  I love squirrels with their fluffy tails.  Don't get me started about my love for dogs! (I like kitties, too, but my allergies don't like them unfortunately).
How can you look at this little guy below, and not smile?  I see the creativeness of God when I see a goat's hilarious beard.
If I won the lottery (I know, you have to play the lottery to win, but I can dream!), I would have an animal refuge. What a great way to live every day, just feeding and taking care of all of the animals.  If my hubby didn't rein me in, I would be known as the crazy animal lady.
But, for now, I have to give all my animal love to my one sweet little dog.  I keep looking at the Humane Society's web site though, so maybe one day soon, another furry one will come to live with us!  Hubby doesn't normally read my blog, so we'll keep this between us, okay?
 xoxo Jean

  3. Oh Jean...I am in love with animals of all kinds too. I go to the park often to feed the ducks and swan. We have 2 little yorkies that bring so much joy to us. Used to have a kitty, but our youngest is now allergic to cats. Love the photo of that cute goat!!

  6. HI Jean! I won't tell! I look at the adoption sites all the time too, since we lost our last dog in June. One day I'll get another onooe - or two! I love animals too and would have chickens, ducks, goats, lots of dogs, maybe even a cow and horse if I could! I love reading the blogs written by people who have those cute little chickens roaming their gardens - how perfect! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Leena

  7. You're inspiring me to maybe add a few animals to our farm. I've been thinking about it for some time now. Have to talk John into it first!
Thanks for joining Country Whites Weekend and inspiring others! You have lots of "Country Charm". . . .
    Blessings from the Farmhouse,

  8. Hi Jean. What little cuties. I could spend my whole time with animals. Goats are one of my favorites too. With the Captain doing his volunteer dog walking, it is so hard not to bring another one home..Happy Weekend..Judy

  9. I've always said the same thing about winning the Lottery - I'd purchase the largest, continuous acreage I could find near my house and dedicate it to homeless animals and open it to the public for petting. There's a little burro outside of Birmingham patiently waiting for his forever home - please, Lotto Gods, I promise to rescue little Bentley! Enjoy your blog, Jan
